1. The problem I’m having:
I’m building automation with Ansible, and I need Caddy with the Cloudflare DNS plugin pinned to a specific version of Caddy (for reproducibility, as I’d like to track versions in Git instead of relying on latest).

4. How I installed and ran Caddy:
Currently I’m building it with xcaddy, but for that I have to install Go as well, and it’s a lot of hassle for what could be just a simple API call.
