The documentation mentions Prometheus for metrics, but how about the logs? What (self hosted) solutions is the community using?
- The “Making Caddy logs more readable” wiki mentions a few barebones approaches, that won’t be useful for multiple caddy services across multiple physical servers.
- Elastic (ELK) is probably the most commen approach. JSON Config Structure - Caddy Documentation • GitHub - firecow/caddy-elastic-encoder: Caddy Logging Encoder that follows ECS guidelines
- Promtail + Loki is another common solution. selfhosted-apps-docker/prometheus_grafana_loki at master · DoTheEvo/selfhosted-apps-docker · GitHub
How are you aggregating then monitoring / analyzing your caddy logs? Share you experience and pros/cons. I’m sure this will be a helpful reference for Caddy users. Thanks!
(This is more of a discussion than a wiki.)
