Who is Caddy's main developer?

Hi,

this is no technical question. I’m just curious, who is the main developer and github project owner of Caddy?

The about section at Github says “Caddy is a project of ZeroSSL, a Stack Holdings company.” But ZeroSSL does not seem to be a Stack Holding company (anymore?). This page says the 100 % owner of ZeroSSL is ASSA ABLOY AB.

So maybe the about sections needs an update?

Thanks, I should probably update that. Yes, ZeroSSL was acquired recently by HID Global, which is an Assa Abloy company.

In terms of boots on the ground, I’m the lead developer, but Francis and Mohammed and Weidi have been active maintainers as well.

Yes! ZeroSSL is the executive sponsor. They own the trademark and such.

I’m also paid by our other sponsors (some of them are linked at the top of our homepage) to maintain Caddy. I’m hoping we can grow our sponsorships to about 2x where they’re at and hire another full-time dev.
