TLS Internal: CA Root all the same?

Hello;

I am currently running multiple caddy instances on my local network with “tls internal” option.

The issue I’m having is that the certs keep rotating and Mac OS is bugging me all the time to accept the new certificates and my applications stall if that happens while they are running.

I have successfully accepted the CA “Caddy Local Authority - 2025 ECC Root” into keychain access and this is solving my issue for ONE of my instances.

But my other caddy instances have a CA that is apparently the same name and thus when trying to import them Mac OS is saying it is already there… So Im stuck with damn prompts all the time for all my other services.

I have many services running caddy on multiple machines and/or containers and every time there is a new caddy root certificate I cannot import in Mac OS…

Can you please advise ?

You can set up your own CA and use it across all your Caddy instances instead of relying on Caddy’s built-in CA. This way, you only need to import and trust a single CA certificate on your clients.
