I’d like to rotate my log file daily in order to automate Piwik log analytics - as per their advice.
Am I right in thinking that it is currently only possible to rotate based on file size?
Yep - the point of log rotation is to preserve disk space, not bundle logs and automate analytics. See Rotation based on day · Issue #17 · natefinch/lumberjack · GitHub for a discussion about the technical reasons for this as well!
