Hugo not installed...but it is

I have a serverpilot app running on an ubuntu droplet. When I run caddy everything goes well and hugo runs. When I run hugo, I get this message: The program 'hugo' is currently not installed. To run 'hugo' please ask your administrator to install the package 'hugo'

I verified that hugo is installed in /.caddy in the serverpilot folder. I’m not sure why I’m getting the error. Please help.

This means hugo is not in your PATH environment variable.

Try adding this to your ~/.bashrc
PATH=$PATH:/path/to/folder/containing/hugo
