Get number of current connections

1. The problem I’m having:

I am trying to implement a waiting room that only lets a certain amount of user access a reverse proxy at the same time. My question is: What is the best way to get the current number of connections out of caddy? I’ve tried the prometheus endpoint, but it somehow does not return the current connections ( see the output from prometheus below) :frowning: I am deploying in docker - or docker compose for that matter. so I only need it to be available to my current app. The general loadbalancing and ssl termination on that server is done by another caddy instance and this a proof of concept. Thanks for any help or hints in the right direction.

3. Caddy version:

v2.6.4

d. My complete Caddy config:

{
  debug
    admin {
		origins *
	}
    servers {
        metrics
    }

}

:80 {
  reverse_proxy localhost:8080
  metrics /metrics
}

Prometheus output:

You can use the admin API to see the amount of requests currently being handled by each proxy upstream:
