Does caddy need port 80 open for renewals

hi all,

for letsencrypt you need both port 80 and port 443 open (port 80 for the challenge/renewal) is this the same for caddy ?

It depends on which challenge you want to use to get a certificate. With Caddy, you can choose from:

• HTTP-01 challenge, which requires inbound port 80 to be open.
• TLS-ALPN-01 challenge, which requires inbound port 443 to be open.
• DNS-01 challenge, which doesn’t require any inbound ports to be open.
