Hi! Claiming GitHub - kauricre/aegis: Aegis is a Caddy module that checks Web Bot Auth signatures on incoming requests and tells the rest of the Caddy config the outcome of each check. · GitHub (version left empty, so latest, which is v0.1.0) fails with:
unable to scan modules in package GitHub - kauricre/aegis: Aegis is a Caddy module that checks Web Bot Auth signatures on incoming requests and tells the rest of the Caddy config the outcome of each check. · GitHub
Error ID: be220f0a-2b2b-4749-8330-ea30dcb31905
The package registers one module, http.handlers.web_bot_authwith caddy.RegisterModule(Handler{}) in init(), and New returns new(Handler). My guess is the Go version.
Could you check what the log says for that error ID? If it is the Go version, is a move to Go 1.27 planned for the scanner and the build server? I’d rather not downgrade dependencies just to register.

The error says
expect either composite literal or new()
but I see your module already has composite literal, i.e. Handler{}. Was this changed recently by any chance? I’m confused.
Was this made towards me or?

I found the issue. The error isn’t for a module in your code, rather in Caddy (this line ). The workaround for now is to reduce the Caddy version in your go.mod to v2.11.5 or earlier.
The fix from our side requires supporting address-of composite literals, which I have locally but isn’t deployed.
I will try publishing the module with downgraded version as suggested and let you know. Thanks for debugging!
No luck. Downgraded to v2.11.4 which works for my module but still not claiming. “633ed75d-e0c3-4ddb-bd65-b2d2edc3f18c”
EDIT: Claimed! Thanks Mohammed!
v2.11.4 worked: GitHub - kauricre/aegis: Aegis is a Caddy module that checks Web Bot Auth signatures on incoming requests and tells the rest of the Caddy config the outcome of each check. · GitHub v0.1.1 is registered. The download now fails with “unable to fulfill download request” (IDs f7c50a45-ce91-466b-91ea-b446e1c59141, 564dc252-5c78-4341-9376-db9c9ad5c31d). Download-page builds report go1.26.4, and Aegis needs Go 1.27.
GitHub - TecharoHQ/samesame: The Web Bot Auth implementation for Anubis. · GitHub v1.0.0 and github.com/yaronf/httpsign v0.6.1 declare go 1.27.0. Locally, go1.26.4 with GOTOOLCHAIN=local fails with “requires go >= 1.27.0”. Will the build server move to Go 1.27 any time soon? I’ve asked the colleague maintaining the build server to upgrade Go.
