Yes, although I think the default spam protection settings might restrict that for new users. I can see about relaxing those a bit.

I would prefer this to be in place if moderation overhead exceeds the time the team can put into features, that’s not an improvement.
Do you know if the DM feature gets enabled after “x” actions by new users? It would help to just know “x” - like “answer 3 questions” or “post 10 replies that get likes” etc?
I just relaxed the restrictions a bit. It requires viewing 5 topics, reading 30 posts, and visiting for 10 minutes.
