I have a domain name control by domain hosting who have the access to change A record, could I set up Caddy and run ahead to listen for the domain that might only update/take effect in a few days?
Won’t exceed LetsEncrypt failure of too many retries in this approach?
As long as your A record is pointed to your Caddy instance (and your network/firewall/etc are set up properly to allow ports 80 and 443 through) before you run caddy, it should be fine. Always test with the staging endpoint if you aren’t sure though. (See docs for details)
